Best Whipped Soap is a light, airy soap that’s often scented and can be adapted to include additives like salts or exfoliants. It can be used for skin cleansing or as a luxurious body wash or shaving cream. The natural ingredients in this soap are super gentle and a small amount goes a long way. It is also a great alternative to commercially available whipped soaps which can be expensive and contain unnatural colours and fragrances.
This recipe for whipped soap can be made with any fragrance or essential oil that you would like to use. For this version we opted for a beautiful oatmeal milk and honey fragrance oil from Rustic Escentuals. It was a lovely scent that didn’t turn a dark tan colour and left the skin feeling soft and smooth.
To the base mix, add your fragrance oil of choice, and the soap dye to achieve your desired shade. For this soap we added 2 drops of Violet Soap Dye. Continue mixing until it is light and fluffy, roughly doubled in volume.
Transfer the mixture into a piece of cling wrap. This helps to prevent the soap from drying out and makes it easier to pipe into your soap containers.
Once your whipped soap is ready to go, remove it from the cling wrap and store in an airtight container or glass jar in a cool, dry place. This will help to extend its shelf life, which should be about a month or so. Best Whipped Soap
