The profusion of beauty at this boutique shines the spotlight on local artisans, who create everything from dainty rings to elegant necklaces and smart-looking watches. Once you’ve picked out a new piece, spend some time browsing the rest of the store, which is stocked with a wide array of gorgeous goods from Quebec-grown talent, from fashion to ceramics and home decor.
From fine pearl cuffs to standout signet rings, the brother-and-sister duo behind Atelier LAF craft metal and mineral magic that’s both artfully understated and overwhelmingly chic. Their jaw-dropping picks, available in downtown Montreal’s swish SIMONS department store (also a proudly local company), will up your style game in a snap.
Marco and Paola Miserendino inherited their family’s neighborhood jewelry shop on St-Zotique Street E. in 1992, and have since transformed it into a discerning jeweller that stocks the likes of Forevermark, Gucci, Frederique Constant and Pomellato. The Miserendinos even threw a cocktail party at the store this season to showcase their wares, which included a substantial amethyst pendant and ring from Gucci, an enormous chain link diamond bracelet from Pomellato and a two-karat diamond carefully wrapped in silk. And although they don’t sell a whole lot of bling for the average person, they’re a fan favorite amongst celebrities, including P.K. Subban, who’s a brand ambassador for the family-owned and run business.
