Designed by Marvel artist Rahzzah Murdock, this high-tech costume is inspired by Miles Morales, star of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. This Spider-Man costume includes a black bodysuit with red highlights and a stylized spider design, plus matching gloves and boots. A black cowl mask with a spider design covers the face, leaving only the eyes visible. A holographic spider emblem on the chest completes the look of this high-tech suit.
This is a reimagining of Miles’ classic red and black suit, which he wore as Spider-Man in his first comics appearances. Its red webbing and spider chest symbol set it apart from Peter Parker’s more familiar look, and it is the primary suit Miles wears when he fights crime in Harlem.
Like all suits in Marvel’s Spider-Man, this one has a variety of cosmetic and gameplay features that can be unlocked as players complete side missions and other achievements. Its visor mod is similar to the spray-painted design of the suit in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and attacking enemies in this suit unleashes comic book style fight noises.
This new suit is just the latest in a series of milestones for Marvel’s Spider-Man. In celebration of the tenth anniversary of Miles Morales’ debut, Marvel has announced a new special issue featuring several writers who have worked with the character. In addition to Miles co-creator Sara Pichelli, the issue will feature stories from Into the Spider-Verse producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller and Into the Spider-Verse co-director Kemp Powers.
